On 22 October 2010, the Canadian-Turkish Business Council (CTBC) and its partner, the Turkish-Canadian Business Council (TCBC) of DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey), held their 8th annual conference in Toronto on Business Opportunities for Canadian Companies in Turkey.
Leading Canadian and Turkish business leaders discussed economic, trade, technology and investment issues and highlighted successful investment, finance and export strategies by Canadian Companies. Canadian exporters and investors from all sectors were invited to attend the conference and meet a high level business and a government delegation from Turkey, representatives from the Canadian Embassy in Ankara and from DFAIT and EDC in Ottawa discussed trade and investment potential in Turkey. Free Breeze Energy Systems's President John G. Hogg Jr. made a presentation named as "Free Breeze in Turkey – The Challenges and Success in Turkey, and the 2009 CTBC Trade Mission"
