The PS500 - 500kW Wind Turbine Generator is equipped with components from well respected firms such as Siemens Ltd. and Moventas who supply the Generator and Gear Box respectively.The 23.5 meter blades are manufactured in a state of the art climate controlled facility that was built in 2003 by Vestas, Denmark. The PS500 - 500kW is also equipped with pitch regulation controlled by a microprocessor (VMP) and is available for both 50 and 60 hertz markets.
The PS500 - 500kW is a rebranded Vestas V47, a legendary Wind Turbine with over 5000 installations worldwide. A 500kW WEG was needed for some markets that allow fastracking of turbines 500kW and less so Free Breeze and RRB decided to replace the 600kW V47 turbine with a siemens 500kW. It should come as no surprise then, that with such an acclaimed pedigreethe PS600 - 600kW and the PS500-500kW machines have demonstrated consistent high performance ratings and low operating costs. It also allows for a ready and future supply of parts and a pool of well trained Technicians alraedy familiar with this machine.
